Down with Lucero

I probably listened to Lucero‘s latest album, “That Much Further West” about ten times yesterday. There’s a quote on the top of their website from Rolling Stone that says, “The country album the Replacements never made” and that about sums it up. Great whiskey soaked rock songs to warm you up during these cold Ohio nights.

A small pressing of the album came with a bonus disc of 12 demos, live and alternative versions of the songs that made the full length proper, and that disc is as good (if not better) than the real deal.

Here’s an MP3 from the album: “Tears Don’t Matter Much”. On their website you can find a bunch of live MP3s, too.
