The music division of Sony has announced a plan to form a sub-label, entitled “Music with a Twist”, featuring a lineup exclusively compiled of gay and lesbian recording artists. The brand will encompass all genres and will not exclude opportunities to profit by synergizing with acts of straight musicians. The label will be headed by LOGO network founder Matt Farber, a long time veteran (scroll down) of the music and entertainment industry at Arista and then MTV. Mr. Farber’s business model will be to not only market towards gays, but also towards that group he refers to as “gay-adjacent”. (full story)
