Wilco is taking requests for their live shows via their website. Not as fun as yelling for “Misunderstood” between every song, including after they already played it, but it’s probably more effective.
Beginning with the Chicago show next week, we’re testing a way we’d like to utilize the site (and you) in a new way…. you can now vote for songs that the band will play that night by using this form. We’ll tabulate the results and the band will definitely utilize them when drafting the set list. So cast your vote today.
This is really great, probably the number one thing I’ve heard people bitching about on the ViaChicago boards is how Wilco plays the same new stuff night after night. The lineup within the band right now is more than capable of breathing new life into the older songs. I look forward to hearing tons more Being There and A.M. tracks infused with scorching Nels Cline solos.
Looks like the form’s offline now… was there a write-in slot so I could request “No extended Tweedy guitar solos?”
