Sia at SXSW 2008

According to her MySpace, Sia is performing 3/14 at Stubb’s. Which is the first band we’ve come across announcing participating in one of the larger events at SXSW. Stubb’s shows are usually big crowds, so it’ll be interesting to see who fills out the rest of the bill.

PS: I wasn’t sure who Sia was until I looked her up and realized she provided a lot of vocals for Zero 7.

Music: Listen at Hype Machine

  1. She put on one of my favorite sets of SXSW 2006, I’m looking forward to this!

That was incredible set Taylor. I was there too, I need to get that new album, it sounds great so far.

Sia’s set at SXSW 2008 should be amazing, since it will come on the heels of the release of her new album “Some People Have REAL Problems” on January 8th. The album is a soulful blend of spacey pop with excellent lyrics, so I’m excited to see what 2008 holds for this big-voiced Aussie.

The Cribs are also on this bill…
