I saw this great film over the weekend here in Toronto. Something very strange -- in several scenes, I could see the microphone hovering over the actors on the very top of the screen, bouncing sometimes so blatantly. Was this an editing blunder? Did my theatre get a bad copy of the film? It was really bizarre. Anyone else notice this?

"The Savages" once again, like "American Beauty" and those earlier ones, shows us that life is real and must be dealt with. I appreciated the movie, and I hated watching it. It was wonderful.
