Over on Who Killed the Mixtape?, Nick has posted an MP3 from an EP by Annie Clark (aka St Vincent) before she reached a wider audience.
Before She opened for Sufjan, or toured as a member of the Polyphonic Spree, Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent) was a student crafting her skills at Berklee School of Music. I recently came across a 3 song EP that Clark self-released in 2003 titled ‘Ratsliveonnoevilstar’ (all one word [I believe] – it’s a palindrome – read the same from back to front). Other Berklee students back her on the release, including jazz bassist Mark Kelley and drummer Walker Adams. (full story & download)
