There is some pile-on hater mentality out there for Liz. I agree that Guyville was a burst of inspiration, and probably one of my favorite albums in the 90s...her later stuff doesn't measure up, but I don't understand the vitriol and the schadenfreud some folks have in regards to her. I'm going to see the show at the Hiro Ballroom tonight and totally looking forward to a celebration of that album. I'll probably buy a new copy as well, since I pretty much destroyed the one I bought in 93...not sure it will even play anymore ;-) Very astute commentary TankBoy.
