  1. these are incredible.

  2. really?
do you really mean that whit?

    these are mediocre…. forgettable……..

i do like this as a weekly post series though…..

  3. About as forgettable as weedsteeler…except not, because most of these posters are awesome.

  4. sorry bill.
i’m not going to argue taste level though….
    some people have it.
    others don’t.

i’m guessing you belong to xenos?

  5. all the haters need to chill— art is not a club that you have to apply to, its a form of personal expression that is open to anybody!!! that is what makes it so amazing- it doesnt matter if you ‘have a degree’ or whatever, anybody can put Paint Shop Pro on their computer and pour out their emotions like this. and personally, i think there is something kind of powerful about the crude, unsophisticated, naive style of these images- like something really raw and primal that trumps conventional notions of ‘talent’ or ‘aesthetics,’ you know?? just like BLAOW, THIS IS ME, THIS IS MY VOICE– DEAL WITH IT!!!

  6. i fully agree with you.

    …..but something is missing.

im not buying the crude naivety here.
    i dont believe them.
there is a certain authenticity that is missing here.
i want more bold/ignorant font mixing. i want to see a casual disregard for color and an accidental yet arrogant use of pattern. i feel like these outsider designers/ untrained graphic artists arent letting there work SING. i want something with some balls!

  7. *cough* get a room fags *cough*

  8. OLD TOWN EASTER

SERIOUSLY, GO HANG OUT AT THE ART MUESEM.
    YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!

YO WEEDSTILLER REAL ARTISTS DON’T GET FEDERAL ATTENTION ON THEIR BLOGZ THEY PUT FEELINGS INTO THEIR COMPUTERS

  10. This is how I manage to miss the potluck EVERY year! Too many quality shows. I wouldn’t overthink the fliers. I know for a fact that one of them was knocked out in probably less than an hour as a favor for a friend.

  11. Steely, the trained graphic designer: why yo blog look like shit?

  12. OLD TOWN EASTER

    Federal attention?
    Oh shit!!!

    what’s that all about?

  13. Update: Added in the Howlies/Carabar poster from Carolyn Dever.

I like the idea of doing this as a weekly post series.

  14. weed steeler is always open to critique let us have it kranky….
