on planet-tj, there is only snow from dec 21st-jan 5th. during that time there is lots of it, and the lawns are always deep piles of fresh white snow.

on the 6th of jan, the temp goes back up to about 60 and we ride the rest of the winter out like that . . .

Wonderful things about winter:

I get to wear gloves and earmuffs.
Snow is romantic.
You can go sledding.
You can make snowmen.
It reminds me of Christmas.
It's fun to watch other people get freaked out. "SNOW??? NOOOO!!!"
It isn't 7,000 degrees.
It means it's going to be dark a lot which means no sun to perpetually blind me while I'm driving.

jesus christ. you have got to be kidding me. I hate winter. my freaking car doors were frozed shut already today.

it doesn't snow here, it rains here and we have ice storms. last year exactly once was there enough snow to go sledding.

layered clothing looks bulky.

cold and flu season.

icy roads.

gas bills from hell.

dealing with "family" during the holidays.

New Years Eve.
