ever play air hockey on acid? Back in the day, my friends and I used to go to Touchdown or the Flaming-O all f'd up.

On the one hand, it's so much easier because it seems like the puck moves in slow motion. Like, so much easier that a 7-0 win was pretty commonplace if playing against someone not tripping.

On the other hand, you have to remind yourself to not get distracted by all the tracers. It's funny to think of strong halucinogenics being performance-enhancing drugs though....

disclaimer: the preceding story is completely anecdotal and ...uh... wasn't me....

Marshalls does have a table, as I was there a few weeks ago trying it out. It is beat to hell and back.

um, I know it's not the same thing, but they have that weird "bubble dome" hockey with the little foosball-style players in the back pool room at Mac's in the Short North. Totally freaked out b/c I haven't played it since I was a kid, and the one at our arcade always used to break. The players totally spin beyond control, overshoot, and spazz-out...like NHL on meth. Fun.



...between that, the decent jukebox (shit's got "Diamonds and Pearls" by Prince and the NPG), the pool table, you can smoke back there, and the privacy, it's a nice little hideout with delicious fried heart-cloggers within arm's reach.
