Last weekend I saw a few boxes at Target Lennox IN the display case.

Also, if you do not see any on the sales floor, ask. I happened to ask when I didn't see any and they had just received 16 from UPS but didn't have time to stock the floor yet. They gladly got me one from the stock room.

I don't know whether or not they carry them, but you could try K-mart (there's one on Bethel at Olentangy River Rd). It seems to be the store that customers forgot.

Has anyone seen any Wii Fits out there?

I've seen a few pop up on Craigs List. for $150. I don't know what retail is.

I ended up getting lucky...the Target in Whitehall (very near where I live) got in a whopping three consoles yesterday about an hour before I called them. I'm glad...most retailers who've got them now (like f*ckin' Circuit City) are bundling them with a pile of other stuff I don't necessarily need right away. Target, however, had just the console/controller/Wii Sports package for $250. Nice. It's still kinda amazing to me that a year and a half after the thing's introduction, it's still this hard to find one of the damn things. I have to say that I'm really impressed with how easy it is to get the thing connected to the Innernette...it found my Airport Express in seconds and just hooked right up.

Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Fit...

I just picked up two Wiis about three weekends ago. One for me, one for my younger brother-in-law.

Without doing any research I ventured down to the Stringtown Road Target at 10am on a Sunday morning to see if they had any. Nope. Ran across the street to Best Buy. There were 3 people in line outside at 10:20am and I didn’t realize that this particular Best Buy didn’t open til 11. Some employees confirmed that they had 12 Wiis that morning, so I figured I might as well wait 40 minutes to get one. The line fleshed out to about 15 people, and while not all of them wanted Wiis, they wouldn’t sell me two of them. Store policy I guess. Ugh.

So I headed home and about 30 minutes later a friend from the Polaris Best Buy called (he knew I was looking for one) and said they got in 45 of them that day and could set one aside if I came up immediately to get it, so I managed to score the second one up there.

I guess the best thing to do is go try stores right at opening time on Sunday mornings. And try to hit an area where you can hop around to two or three different stores relatively quickly.

The oldest's daughter's best friend's mom used to own Big Fun on campus (her brother still owns the Cleveland one). Best friend's mom knows the "magic" and has never had trouble finding a Wii or Wii Fit. Two days ago the wife mentioned that she was having a hard time finding a Wii Fit. Yesterday morning the best friend's mom calls and says "I stopped at the Lennox Target. They had a few in stock and I bought one for you." I guess you just have to know the shipping schedule or something and know which stores usually yield the best results. There's got to be some sort of science to it

has anyone tried it? wii-yoga? pwiilates?

I played for a few minutes at the Arts Fest last weekend (mainly so I could get the free pair of WiiFit socks!) and thought it was fun. Only had enough time for the mini games, so none of the real yoga stuff. I'm not in any hurry to run out and buy it.
