I'll be honest, been goin' for years and never really listened to the jazz, just went down for the food - ribs, fries and fried dough - a throughly healthy lunch.

Just curious, for those who attend, are you loyal to any particular rib place? I've been to every year but one, when I tried Armadillos and was not impressed. Too dry and tough compared to Pigfoot, which are about the best ribs I've ever encountered.

Pigfoot is pretty damn good.

i totally agree on armadillos.
i tried texas outlaws this year, and i'd garner it the same complaint.

my fave is Johnson's. they have the meatiest, most tender ribs on the promenade.

i also found that, "i wish you jazz" doesnt work so well at the jazz and ribfest. people look at you like you just ordered a fishboat. sofa king, i'm lookin at you.
