This is a . Anti-abortion protestors in Libertyville, Illinois were asked a simple question - if, as they want, abortion is made illegal and a crime, what should the punishment be?

You would think that a movement, decades in the making, would have a cohesive, standard answer. The right-wing is a machine when it comes to fashioning language and talking points that are easily distilled down to the base of the party. Yet, none of these protestors have an answer.

They all claim that abortion is murder, the same as any other murder, yet only one protestor thinks it may be plausable that jail time, perhaps even life in prison, should be the punishment. The majority think they need counseling, or that the act itself is punishment enough, and all of them said they never really thought about it (punishment for committing the crime of an illegal abortion, that is).

Think about that - they want something to be made illegal, a crime, yet want no actual punishment for the crime. Is there any other aspect of society in which we have a law that has no punishment? Apparently, we need to move the abortion protestors over to the drug enforcement realm so that people who break the law get counseling, not jail time.

They're all fuckin' hypocrites... they can't answer that question because they truly cannot back up the fact that abortion is murder and the life begins at conception and blah, blah, blah. Ugghh.

A friend and I were talking the other night, and could this be possible?-

That Republicans in power do not ultimately want to see Roe vs. Wade overturned. If it is overturned, and the next Pres is a Republican, it could wake up the Democratic liberals to voice their opinions more and vote. Then again, after reading substantial message board rhetoric and using my own judgement, I'm not even sure votes matter if they are not all accounted for.
