I could never imagine a that there would be a time when I would be sad that Petro lost anything. My concern is: where did his vote come from?? Did a lot of traditionally Democratic African-Americans cross over to vote for him?? Other than that, I can't imagine what would make him an appealing candidate, and I think he is going to be very hard to beat.

I want to remind everyone that several weeks ago in The Other Paper Blackwell was asked about his stance on abortion. The interviewer asked Blackwell if he would sign a bill that outlawed all abortions. Blackwell said yes. The interviewer responded by asking "even for the life of the mother?" Blackwell said yes.

There is a distinction between an abortion for the mother's health and an abortion to save the mother's life.

Most anti-abortion activists and politicians at least allow an exception for the life the mother (if not for rape, incest, or mother's health), but not Ken Blackwell. He takes anti-abortion extremism to a new, horrific level.

If a woman's pregnancy threatens to end her life, Ken Blackwell would rather she die than for her to have a life-saving abortion.
