My alltime favorite Columbus zoo experience, besides Herman Ogre spitting on a potbellied pig, is when we caught the manatees getting nasty and of course there was the omnipresent little kid who yelled out "Look Mommy, the manatees are rasslin'" to which my companion burted out "Oh, they're not rasslin, they're f*ckin'" Good times.

I am a zoo member, and I too went on Saturday (along with everyone else in the whole world, apparently).

My most memorable zoo experience would have to be seeing the Galapogos Tortoises gettin it onlast fall. The dude woiuld climb up and get ready, then like once every 10-15 seconds he would make the exact noise that you hear in the reptile room when you press the tortoise vocalization button. Funny funny stuff.
