someone with resources should get whatever reports/official information that they can and make a bigger and more public issue about this. and then prepare to start all over again next fall. the owners are probably betting on short term memory being their ally.

in which case... this girl was in the age range of 16-17

that story is all accusations and no details.

what happened and what is the timeline?
why didn't she call someone?
how did the police know she was in there?
does CPD have the ability and/or knowledge to track someone? there was a dude prank calling the police for months and they had no clue who it was until someone reported the guy. all of a sudden they can pinpoint a missing person who didn't call them to a basement restroom which may not even exist?

i came to the same conclusion...that this story could be fake...just thought it might be interesting to have a conversation about it. we should all meetup at 4-kegs and get to the bottom of this.

Damn. I really wanted this to be an urban legend, but I just spoke to someone over at Columbus Police who, while she couldn't give out a lot of info, said that there was such an incident reported in April at the bar. She said the victim was found in a fire stairwell (I didn't ask about the whole deal with the GPS). The case is still open, although they have a suspect. I got a case number from her, but it wouldn't work on the site -- I don't know what the deal is there, but I didn't pursue it too thoroughly, as most of the information would be redacted, anyway.
