Is this about me not showing up in NYC this week or is it for one of the myriad other reasons I am an asshole?

If it is because of my not showing up in Brooklyn I feel truly horrible about it. The charms of Philadelphia were my undoing. I basically spent almost of all my money in Philly on citywide specials and cheese steaks at "Johnny Hots" the first few days I was in the City of Brotherly Love leading me to contract a nasty little illness. I realize that these are rather faulty reasons for not visiting when I was so close, but the lack of funds and my poor health did not make things conducive for further travel. I apologize profusely for letting my love of cheap booze and Cheese Whiz get in the way of seeing old friends. I will make it up to you all in September when I will have a Brooklyn only vacation giving that borough the attention that it deserves.

If I am an asshole because of other reasons I heartily concur with your assessment and offer no other apology.
