WCRS 102.1/98.3 FM is Columbus' ONLY Community radio station and a service of Simply Lining. We are currently in the process of expanding our hours and should be on the air 13 hours a day by fall!

As such we have many open time slots for music and original programming and are seeking volunteers to fill such spots. We prioritize music and programming non-heard elsewhere in the media, foreign language programming, programming focusing on poverty and justice and more. Please read our vision and mission statements below to see if such a station is right for you!

WCRS-LP FM is a non-commercial, listener-supported community radio station serving Central Ohioans, providing quality programming to:
•Promote personal and civic responsibility, informed action and thoughtful living;
•Challenge cultural and intellectual assumptions;
•Celebrate local cultures;
•Air alternative points of view and facilitate understanding through dialogue;
•To provide media training and to foster community empowerment and participation.
•To provide representation for under-served and under-represented constituencies and viewpoints, and to provide news and information not commonly found elsewhere on the airwaves.

WCRS FM 102.1/98.3 has just recieved approval from the FCC to expand to 13 hours a day! We are very excited about more than doubling our current broadcast as Columbus' ONLY Community Radio Station.

We should be announcing the new schedule soon, and yes there will be more music including one program called Yesterday's Top Secrets! We will also be offering news in Spanish and 8 hours a week of Somali language programming.

And for those of you missing Classical Music on Columbus airwaves? We will be airing classical music during the morning drive from 6am to 8 am, Then followed by a live streaming of Democracy Now!

cause we know people have expressed concern over lack of radio, let's see if anyone puts their money where there mouth is, I doubt it.
