Clintonville Giant Eagle

One of the things that saddens me about Columbus is not being able to walk into the Giant Eagle and always being amazed at what part has been completely changed during construction...

I'm sure I'll visit it once it's all done, but I'm always amazed when they just switch something overnight.

It has been a bit aggravating shopping there since they started remodeling....3 years ago! (might be an exaggeration on length of time). I was just thinking the other day that they should have just left it alone. Perhaps when they finish, in 2013, it will be worth it. It may have been easier and faster to have leveled the building and build new.

I appreciate the greater selection of the C'ville Giant Eagle vs. the C'ville Kroger, but given that it takes me twice as long to find what I need in that place, I've pretty much stopped going there altogether. It is ridiculous how hard it is to navigate that place. The last time I was there, they actually had a bin for maps, which was a nice thought, but they were all gone.

I haven't been in there for a couple of months, but unless they've seriously upped the square footage, there's no way they're offering the selection that the one up on 161 or even the one on 5th Ave. has. Plus (and this is one of my big pet peeves about way too many groceries around here), they are WAY slow on restocking stuff over the course of a day.

the cereal i can find, but that's not much help because i don't want any. i can take you straight to it for $500 - you also have to provide the mules, icepicks, and camping gear. the veggie dogs i'm thinking about hiring a private investigator for.

in other news they liquidated all the haughty-taughty beer glasses they had (orig. 2/$30) for 2/$5. awesome. except that they carded me for them. retarded.

I was carded at the Kroger in Athens for buying red wine vinegar. I was like, "you know I can more wasted off of cough syrup than I can from this stuff, right?"

I'm at the Clintonville Giant Eagle once a week. It has been a bit annoying, but - they have a pretty good selection of Gluten Free food. :clap:
