Columbus Police say the man who shot two officers Monday is dead.
They say after the chase, they found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
It all started near the State Fairgrounds when the suspect, Jason Farnsworth, opened fired when police tried to stop him for drunk driving.
He then ran to his apartment complex in the 1900 block of N. 4th Street near OSU Campus.
Farnsworth started shooting out several windows when officers surrounded the building.
At some point police say he hit two officers, one in the cheek and the other in the chest.
The officer, who was shot in the chest, was wearing a bulletproof vest so he is just bruised.
The officer shot in the cheek is now in stable condition.
SWAT used a robot to make sure the building was safe before they entered and that's when they found Farnsworth.
Police asked everyone in the area to stay inside their homes during the barricade situation since it was so dangerous.
