We definitely peaked in September and we've been on a downward slide ever since. I think we look pretty solid, but we can't score (and I don't think we have many good offensive ideas, either).

Question: why do we have Schletto playing up top instead of as an advanced midfielder? Every play should be running through him. Instead, he's too far forward and we often can't even get the ball up to him.

Keep in mind that, while play's certainly been off of late, the team still clinched the Supporters' Shield AND advanced in the Champion's League. That's not an easy feat. And while we haven't won a game in the last several, I'd suggest that if the win on Thursday, then they haven't hurt themselves. Like Frankie said the other day, they had to win Thursday's game anyway, regardless of what happened at RSL.

Remember NE's collapse last year under the weight of a CCL and MLS schedule? And Bobby's bettered that with a smaller roster.

Oh, about the GBS positioning thing...it worked pretty well early on...remember that GBS at one point led the league in scoring with 10 goals.

We may see a change on Thursday, but I don't know what the plan is. Oddly, Neither Bobby nor Sigi have ever consulted me on player decisions.

Not sure, but he finished the regular season with 12, and I think at least 8 of those were from the run of play...can't be sure though. I'll find out tomorrow when I get to the stadium.
