i just bought their album 'hate'.
without getting into the technicalities of the music, i'll work with the soul purpose of the music; the reaction. namely, my reaction. those are the reviews i prefer to read, anyways.

this band is gutwrenchingly, hopelessly, beautifully, and endlessly depressing. it has a soft overtone and a woeful undertone. it makes me want to throw myself into the fetal position [which feels more and more like home as of recently] and just weep until the weekend. and i love it. and i want more.

and that's all i have to say for now.

Okay, I got the new Delgados.

So far, I'm not feeling it.

Maybe the next few listens will win me over, but early indications are I dont like it as much as the previous albums.
