If anyone has played the video game "Portal", I can't get the endsong "Still Alive" out of my head. I think my 4-y-o daughter and I are gonna record a cover of it. Hearing her sing "Even though you broke my heart and killed me / And tore me to pieces / and threw every piece into a fire" is efffing priceless

CapSoul! Right on.

As far as Raconteurs, I've been fixated on Old Enough (not the Ricky Skaggs version)

and in other news:
I Cannot Stop You by The Cherry Slush
Derek's Daily 45

and You Don't Care by Jon & Robin
Office Naps

Awesome blogs.

and, of course, Stop and Listen by The Shag.

Diamondhead-"The Prince"
now I know where metallica's "kill em all" came from.

Slayer-"Skeletons of Society"
a nice mellow tune from the 90's

i like diamondhead just fine and certainly acknowledge their place in the grand scheme of new-wave-of- and thrash metal, but metallica totally play that song better than they do. one of my favorite things they ever did. that said, i will never forgive them for what they did to "it's electric," the one diamondhead song that no one can do better than the original.

Because most of it sucks these days. Just sayin'.

Get me one artist around today that can touch Public Enemy in their prime, and I'll be blasting that shit out my speakers all day.

Seriously, give me a heads up on what is just killing, and no T.I. is not cutting the mustard for me. He bores the shit out of me.
