leave it to a bootleg news gathering organization like reuters to confuse energy domes with "red flowerpot hats." when your copy editors lag behind those of spin magazine, yer in trouble. i too dug "watch us work it" and am cautiously optimistic. dunno about replacing human metronome alan myers with a former nin/gnr drummer. i kinda find it hard to believe that casale's signing on to the notion that "de-evolution has finally arrived," what with obama being president now instead of bush, but maybe gerry's finally starting to get it? |

you might be right about the new drummer dude. i'm hoping to see them at sxsw next week, and it'll be interesting to see how that all goes. i caught a lot those gerry rants the past few years. the jihad jerry stuff was a bit over the top and got old pretty quick. devo is much more effective. i'm glad to see hints that they're maybe recognizing that "we're all devo" includes obama, too. the more i think about it, the more psyched i am to hear this new record. summit county rulz. |
