United States of America (Press Release) February 2, 2009 – Live for the Dream

Debuting this fall is the long anticipated album from Charles Pleasant entitled "Live for the Dream.” This album has all the fixings to be a true delight to both up-tempo and true R&B and Jazz listeners.

America beware…the smooth sounds of Charles Pleasant have reached the ears of the public…and we’re all drawn in like a moth to a flame. But who could resist his talents. He has built his craft on the foundation of legends like New Edition, Mint Condition, and Maxwell.

Charles always possessed a hard-working and outgoing personality. After constantly playing the piano and keyboards and playing songs by ear that he heard on the radio . He began composing song of his own.

Determined to make R&B his own, Charles Pleasant is currently working on his debut album entitled Live for the Dream. Expected to be released in the fall of 2008, the album incorporates the skills of his record producing. This exceptional pianist from Louisiana feels that this album possesses the raw appeal that’s missing today. “Everything is either too rough (sounding more like Hip-Hop as oppose to rhythm and blues), watered down or just doesn't posses the vocal ability and lyrical content true R&B should.

Truly distinguishable from the crowd, Charles trusts that his ability to play the piano, write and arrange his own lyrics and produce tracks, gives him an extra edge, connecting him closely with the industry he loves so much. Viewing music as a mutual relationship, Charles feels it gives you a chance to express yourself and give back to others all at once: “You can do so much with it. It sets your mood, hypes you up, and rejuvenates you”. Therefore fulfilling the ‘Charles Pleasant Experience’, which means (that each listener leaves satisfied); taking with them his personal tune: Live Life! Don’t turn down opportunity! Don’t be afraid to try!
