I've now got a soft spot for We All Got Out of the Army. These solo records are getting increasingly better, maybe the best thing since the final GBV album?

Earthquake Glue deserves a mention for a great late GBV album. Some great melodies on there such as Jill Hives, Mix Up the Satellites, Beat Your Wings. Dead Cloud is also a favorite of mine, I swear, by the end of the chorus I can fucking feel the sunlight.

Alien Lanes. Mag Earwig too.

nobody disses mag earwhig. any album with "colossus crawls west" and "choking tara" on it is a keeper. although the remake of "i am a tree" still puzzles me some 12+ years later.

also, "pendulum" is the best early gbv song.
