Why not? The artist can sell 1 copy for 500 instead of 1 copy for 20. Seems like a win win. If I were an artist and I had a third man release, I would personally sell it on eBay to raise fund for my band. Why get all upset about what other people buy.

I will order CDR stuff quicker if there is a limited pressing, why not, I like having a color version limited to 100. There latest release, the Unholy 2 record, I will just grab that at a local shop since its 500 all black.

Just like I want my car and home to have a good re-sale value, its nice when my records do too, I am very happy all my White Stripes stuff is in demand, and yeah, I bought the re-issues, and the vinyl merch set, one day I will have to sell it, I'd rather sell it for a profit after I enjoy it.
