Local Musicians and Businesses Come Together in Support of Twenty-Five Year Old Shooting Victim, Alexandria (Alix) Reese
Benefit Album Currently Being Produced in Hopes to Raise Money for Local Girl
Columbus, OH (June 21, 2010) – Local music venues, producers and musicians are teaming up on a benefit album set to launch in just a few weeks. More than twenty businesses and performers are collaborating on an album for Alexandria Resse, a twenty-five year old that was recently struck paralyzed by gunfire in Columbus.
Producers hope the album and local concerts can continue to support fundraising efforts for this tragedy. Money raised by the limited-release album sales will go to the Reese Family to help cover medical expenses.
It was just three weeks ago that Alexandria was shot in the neck while driving on the city’s east-side. She was in the car with a friend, who was uninjured while groups of young men were exchanging gunfire on Atcheson Street.

www.prayersforalix.comABOUT THE ALBUM: The album features 15 different singles, including unreleased tracks by Phantods, Winter Makes Sailors and Wing and Tusk. Only 500 copies will be made, and 100% of the sales will be contributed to the Reese family to help pay for medical bills. The album will be released July 2nd at KOBO. Bands on the album will be performing all night. Albums will also be sold Saturday July 3rd at Skully’s Music Dinner, with Mr. Fahrenheit and The Loverboys with special guest Phantods.
