Aw shit. The High Strung are fucking phenomenal.
This is why:
- They were on the road for like 17 months in a row over the past couple years.
- They have two ridiculously awesome vocalist/guitarists.
- The bass player is a big-hearted nerdy badass.
- They (read: the bass player) won my little sister over last time they played The Union in Athens.
- The drummer, Derek, makes me wanna quit everything and play the drums. His fills are sick, and his timing is tighter than the presidential race.
- Although they're not a "funny" band, they do have a line that goes, "Come on Loretta / Let me put my free hand up your sweater."
