Alive is releasing another free Columbus music compilation, and to celebrate we're hosting our biggest event ever: .

This Saturday, Oct. 2, we'll be at South Campus Gateway from 3-11 p.m. to present one last outdoor festival before the autumn chill forces the music indoors til 2011. Lineup:

6 p.m. L.e for the Uncool
7 p.m. Super Desserts
8 p.m. Phantods
9 p.m. The Floorwalkers
10 p.m. Fly.Union

The album features all eight Rocktoberfest performers plus eight more: New Creases, P. Blackk, Old Hundred, The Spruce Campbells, Andrew Graham and Swarming Branch, The Wet Darlings, Shin Tower Music and Saintseneca.

Rocktoberfest!?! Really?!? That's the best title for this thing you guys could come up with? Way to really distinguish yourselves from the rest of the pack. It's actually a bit reassuring, knowing that Alive's dry spell in the creativity dept. has no end in sight.

Didn't I just see all of these bands at a festival within the past 10 years with lots of food and drinks and people and art and stuff? Yawn. Rocktoberfest is totally overdone. This is like Columbus' 5th Octoberfest this year and it's only October 1st. Germany is way under represented, too. What the fugg ever.

You guys should do Columbus Alive's most disgruntled bands and hold it outside on the coldest, darkest night of the year. Make it a dry event and call it Foctoberfest. Starkey can close.

That Faux Ginza Socialism For The Rich alley is kind of scary when it's empty. But it would be great to see Ex-Whites outdoors and my daughter loves Gooeyz.
