FIRST LEG

toledo: haven't played my old hometown in a while. sound at frankie's is amazing. i've been going to that bar for something like 14 years and i don't think it's ever been this good. bats & mice are great but haymarket riot blew our fucking minds.

shit: alternator on our borrowed van goes out in gary, indiana. two separate people tell us that we are in the worst place in the world. by an unprecedented sequence of lucky breaks, we're back on the road after only about 4 hours.

champaign: hauling ass and we're only about an hour late. the dudes in withershins have shots waiting. rangers beat the yankees and go to the world series. we drink. probably too much. maybe not enough. was that country fried steak? why?

chicago: lunch, then too much time to kill. alternator ate all the fun money. the sandlot is utah's most iconic film for some reason. bats & mice and haymarket riot kill it again to an even greater extent.
