Vinyl has been creating, the silk screening process is going on this week. HOLY CRAP it's here already.

Before, in between and after the bands we will be living it up with DJ Riko. He'll be playing remixes, mash-ups, and even some home grown stuff.

Notes on the screenprinting process for the Donewaiting Vol. 1 split with TIARA and Miranda Sound:

500 record covers x 3 colors = 1500 pulls of the squeegee.
There are three beautiful, hand-mixed colors screened on each of these record covers. Each of these 500 records is truly one-of-a-kind. And they're amazing to look at. The detail is fucking sick. I'm allowed to say this because I didn't design it. So now it's not immodest, it's just informative.

And for $10 you get a frame-worthy record, a slick-ass audiophilic dream on vinyl, and a full-on CD of the same 8 new tracks from 2 bands that are on the record.

I don't know what else to say about that.

For max efficiency and speed, each screening station requires four members: a puller, a flooder, a loader, and an unloader.

Corggirl is a mean flooder.
BMoore is a mean-ass puller.
As is our celebrated Clinton Reno, of course.
BPeake is a swift and humorous loader.
BFresh is illin', the poor bastard.
SSefcik and DBell are not only an unstoppable rhythmic force, but also an unmatched tag team unloading/running duo.
Tallgirl is an all-around gem. No lie. A gem.

Duffy himself is a damn fine loader. But we all expected that.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Screening records is especially effective when you're listening to the new Murder Your Darlings disc.

the new murder your darlings did indeed speed up the process and kept us alert for what was the last leg of the evening.
that disc is good.
