i think it's weird that it's a convention to say "bless you" after you sneeze, considering that the expression originated from the idea that a soul, who had possessed your body, had just been released...

or that the word "punk" was originally a slang expression for a gay male prostitute...

"bless you" must certainly mean something else to those of us who say it now, but, it's a bit abstract that a certain amount of the population is not only offended, if no one gives them this "courtesy", or whatever the hell it's turned into, but, feels it is their obligation to perpetuate the phrase (without realizing how fucking crazy the idea was in the first place). so what's it mean, now?

of course, it's a little odd that 30-some years after punk was born and quickly buried (or, at least, that was the "original" idea, at the time) we still describe our music as punk. gay prostitute music? hey, that is pretty rock n roll...

...but who cares?

i guess, maybe, you should go to the source whenever you see an image, or hear a sound, or have a sensation that seems really fucked up and you're not very sure why it's bothering you
