For sometime, I have been asked by various people to write about my experiences with the Columbus music scene, I never cared too much for reading or writing about music per se but I have written extensively about both music and my own personal experiences. Several years ago I started writing about Jerry Wick and Jenny Mae and how they interacted with my life. They are two people who greatly shaped my perspective on life and were (are) almost as flawed as I am. So, not really knowing what to do with it and being on vacation I started a blog to publish some of these thoughts. I will update it as regularly as possible, between changing diapers, treating skinned knees and writing graduate papers, I am not sure how often this will be.

Thanks for sharing this...really great writing. What year did the 2nd part with Goodwill take place?
Is that the one by the Blood Bowl? Just interested as a longtime resident myself.

I'm guessing about three years ago or so; I wrote these first two parts on vacation last year. I'll post some more soon. It was the Goodwill in Clintonville, the city removed the camp after it was there for a few months.

I have about fifty pages written, I'm trying to post them so there is some semblence of order to them as they have been written in very sporadic sessions. Thanks for all of the encouragement.

It is amazing how when I think back I can remember quite a bit, not really the years but the events. A lot has come back since I quit drinking, especially when I am running and listening to music.

I suppose this is akin to me going through a box of old unsorted photos.The time jumps around, on purpose I suppose as I write just when a memory hits me. The Jenny relationship stuff would be from 85-90-ish, Jerry earliest would be 90-94, music for both of them would be 1990-2000. Everything else takes place 2000-now.
