Calling all central Ohio high school music performers. Do you have what it takes to become the next big thing? If so, GROOVE U is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Instaband contest. The winning artist not only gets bragging rights as the best high school band in Columbus, but also wins a recording contract complete with a professionally mastered EP, a music video, a website, booking support, merchandise and a mentoring session with a music industry pro. GROOVE U students have selected three music-centric Columbus nonprofits – the Dick & Jane Project, Music Loves Ohio and Through Mind’s Eyes – to benefit from Instaband proceeds. Instaband is open to all central Ohio high school bands, duos, and solo artists in all genres, including: pop, rock ‘n roll, metal, rap, metal, hip-hop, singer/songwriter, country, trance/ electronica, Christian/gospel, etc. Visit the Instaband website at for official contest rules, submission instructions and important deadlines. |
