was trying to hold his breath for 9 minutes, but had to be pulled out of the tank after about 7 minutes and 8 seconds.

the little clips of his "street magic" were great.

his little tricks impress me way more than the big record-breaker stuff.

David Blaine is simply an entertainer working to perform tricks of illusion. His producers are even better at tricks - post-production edit, a camera trick. I say we shift this thread into another direction and determine who is the hottest illusionist - David Blaine or Criss Angel :roll:

i had this on while i was doing stuff around the house and caught a moment where david arquette and courtney cox were wishing him luck and telling him to be careful. i wonder if they are really friends or if they got paid to say that. i just love thinking about those possibly insane conversations: some random 3rd tier magic show co-producer calls up the Arquette household and proposes $10K to pretend to be David Blaine's friends. And they say OK b/c they want to buy some patio furniture. hilarious.
