when did sorkin leave and why? i am a huge fan of sports night but always only caught west wing randomly (mostly becasue it's on one of the big 3, and i just never remember to turn to one of those chanels. if "earl" wasn't on my dvr, i'd never see it at all)

but i always liked what i saw of WW and i even plan on watching it from the start on dvds now that it's closing . . .

anyway, clue a brutha in on the sorkin drama, and what'd he do after it?

sorkin got busted with shrooms, pot and coke in a carry-on bag in 2001. a little while later, he left the show, supposedly because of a dispute with NBC. since then, he hasn't done much, but he's got a new show coming this fall that sounds like the Saturday Night Live version of Sports Night.

i remember the bust. i was kinda proud that of all things he could get busted with at the height of his fame, it was 'shrooms. i could look up to a cat like that . . .
