I'm pleased to announced that OH CRAP VOL.3 will be available this year at Comfest (as long as Joel allows me to sell it there).

VOL.1 and VOL.2 will be available next week in MP3 format. I'll provide a link to where you can download those volumes in case you missed out on buying them.

The CD will have somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 - 25 songs and I'll be selling them for a buck or two.

The final tracklisting isn't finalized yet as I'm still waiting on a few submissions but here is a peek at the bands that will be on the CD:

333
Carson Drew
Envelope
Faded Sympathy
Giganta
Glare
Fine Dining
Jonathan Hape
Larry Smith
Red Dahlia
Salvage
The Brown Notes
The Kyle Sowashes
The Rackets
The Proper Nouns
Your Favorite Assassin

The final tracklisting should be available next week. Look for maybe 5 or 6 additional bands to be added.

The Evil Queens will be appearing on OH CRAP VOL.3 (thanks Spliney and Cruise_Elroy). I *think* the track that will be on the CD will be an exclusive. I heard it for the first time this morning and ... shit ... I should charge $10 for that song alone. It's a keeper.

Because I put this one together solo this time (Donpossibles helped on Vol.1 and 2), I've spent a lot of time listening to these songs. I tossed around all different ideas to the tracklisting but finally decided on doing it based on number of posts. I think it works really well and I have to agree Hooch, this is my favorite of the 3. The other 2 were really good, no doubt, but like I said, I've listened to this one a TON over the past 2 weeks or so and have really grown to love it.

Baby Faith is THE BEST Pockets song.
Masquerade is THE BEST Red Dahlia song.

Sweet.

*Somebody* commented that it sounds like I like this one the best because Donpossibles wasn't involved. Not true. Misread. Just saying that before I was only responsible for half the songs on the comp and I wouldn't even hear the full finished thing until I actually got a copy. This time around I have listened to all 22 songs a number of times and I'm really enjoying it.

Donpossibles wasn't involved this time around only because he moved to Cincy. No "creative differences" or anything, just "location differences" :)

I don't recollect the song you guys have on their FD. Is it new or just that I am old and have not fucking memory? (probably that one)

It's the last song on our album. One of those Lust for Life rips, kinda dancy but kinda epic. Told our drummer to listen to Decemberists' "The Sporting Life" when we were putting it together. Wanted to get it out to somebody cause we fear it's buried at the back of the album. Might not have played it at any of our shows with The Dahlia. Don't worry, your memory is intact.

Damn drummers. You can't trust 'em. Especially not ones that smoke cigars on stage. :)
