It really sucks feeling like I have to stand up to a "fella" who doesn't even use proper English while lampooning us, but maybe that's "uppity" of me. Alas, I have a vested interest. The post Jabby made was basically an observation on a piece of art and how he thought we might draw parallels to it today and "to the power of friendship and those who tended the light of civilization and civility during the long dark years..."

The NDA doesn't pretend to be better than anyone, we know we're better (kidding)... actually, the deal is we're a group of tight, artistically-inclined (liberal) friends who support eachother and who are honest and upfront with our beliefs and our opinions and if you don't like the fact that we consider the modern era of America to be a pretty dark one (artistically, politically, etc.) and the fact that sometimes we call it out, sometimes we even laugh at it, then feel free to read another site.

The NDA is about the best and worst in popular culture. Deal with it.

And if you really want to bitch about our site we have a that won't waste Duffy's bandwidth.

I think this is an apt image for the NDA and for those who support it; for outspoken bloggers; musicians, artists and all of those who are begrudgingly enduring this dark period in American history.
