Tim, I may have unintentionally been misleading about the taking care of myself and don't owe you anything thing. (BTW, The only self-help book I've read for a long time is by Dale Carnegie, FWIW) I meant that I don't automatically expect anything from the govt or people. I interact ok with people, rarely do they upset me, I'm not that angry of a person, but (maybe partially because I've been spending alot of time in bars, working and drinking) I've found myself surrounded by, not only needy people, but people who act like I owe them something, that the world owes them something. I'm applying this observation to the larger world and finding it to often be true there, also. I'm one of the most giving, accepting people around. I love to barter with my skills, I love to help people with no other reward than a thank you, I rather enjoy 'interacting with others', I'm a really good listener, and (obviously) I like to debate.

Now, if you all could just be a little less sensitive, a little more open minded, maybe you could win the next election, or something grand like that.

PS, There's no need to over-dramaticize survival in that way.

PPS, If you can honestly say that religion has nothing to do with it then you really, really have no idea what I'm talking about, so please leave the conversation or answer my GDamn questions.

PPS, Modern day society has also defined manufactured, propaganda-ridden fear as necessary also. It's workin out pretty good.
