Surely you can't be that broken up about Rover or Opie and Anthony, can you? Both shows blow, in my estimation.

Get The Hold Steady's catalog and enjoy some music, or get Sirius and remind yourself what real morning radio is about.

I was ho hum on Boys and Girls in America initially, but the song "Chips Ahoy" hit me very hard after about 3 listens. I have since gone backwards into the catalog and I don't know how I missed this band- I am certainly a fan.

Regardless as to what I think about The Hold Steady, live with it a bit and catch some of the nuances prior to dismissing them as a retro clone. I like the retro vibe with updated music and lyrics. I think it is solid rock music, but certainly nothing groundbreaking.
