as far as downtown area goes, i like indian oven a lot...we used to go there all the time and the staff is great. i think their rice pudding is the best in town...it's always a 3-4 bowl minimum when i go there :oops:

lately, we've been skipping indian oven for this little place tucked into a strip mall on bethel road. also over there: amazing turkish food at cafe shish kabob.

I haven't had Indian Oven for a while, but I love that place. The staff has always been super cool, and it's a great place to sit outside in the summer (i realize that's kind of "salt in wound" talk right now).

It is a bit pricey, especially for Indian food, but you can do the old people thing and share some stuff, as their portions are pretty huge.
