I thought the food was a little bland…and the portions were a little small. Pretty good though. My girlfriend hated it, which means I can now only go by myself or when I'm out with my friends, which is close to never.

But the booze was tremendous! I had a great margarita (they're all sort of ala carte where you pick the flavor & the tequilia) then I had a tequilia flight…for when one shot just isn't enough. Then I wrapped it up with a…well, I can't remember the name of it. But it was a Dos Equis w/ kind of a bloody mary mix, with worcestershire sauce, tabasco and some other potentially foul ingredients. It sounds vomit-inducing, but it was really good.

I think they'll do ok if they don't try to present themselves as a "fine restaurant" and instead go for the "inexpensive watering hole". It's weird…the decor is pretty kick-ass, but the menus are over the top with cheesy clip art & are laminated. Kind of a disconnect in terms of a cohesive image. Drinks are a little pricy too…if they had a $4 or $5 margarita, they'd sell a ton of them. It's hard to get excited about having two $7 margaritas. I don't think they even sell pitchers. We spent $50 for dinner & $30 of it was on booze. So if you're an alcoholic, it's definitely not the cheapest place to go. Bring a flask.

I hope they stick around long enough to sort out their issues. (I suppose the same goes for me as well)

I was in there last week I think. I didn't eat, but damn they got a lot of tequila. shit I hadn't seen outside of mexico. If you're an afficiando, it'd be a fun place to try out some different ones. Also, if all you've ever tried are Cuervo shots, you might find that there's pretty broad spectrum of tequila out there.

and one of the bartenders in there was makin' some pretty healthy pours.
