I'm so sad right now. Our all-stars didn't deliver, not in the least. Sabathia, Carmona, Sizemore, and Hafner were not threats against the Red Sox. You look at the two lineups and the batting averages and most of the Red Sox were in the .300 or .400s. The Indians barely had a player above .200.

Our World Series tickets came in today.

I'm finally moving from depression to acceptance on the Kübler-Ross model.

For what it's worth, even with the team falling apart, it took the Red Sox seven games to win the ALCS, and the rest of that team had to step up when the Indians shut down their 3-4-5 hitters.

There was a lot of great baseball this year...the triple play, Sizemore's in the park home run, Blake's two walk off homeruns over the course of a weekend, the return of Kenny Lofton...and that's just off the top of my head.

They fell apart the last week of '05, and it took 11 postseason games to count them out this time. If they can squeeze out four to seven more next year, the championship belongs to Cleveland.

And if it's the Rockies again, maybe I can sneak in with that ticket.

And thankfully none of us did something this stupid.
