Agreed. The only hyp I ever hear, though, is how we are going to blow it.

This year has been crazy all around. I don't think there is a #1 team- we were #1 by default. I never thought that we could take LSU- I think that would be a nightmare. It's as if any team could beat any other team on any given day. There's been no clear front runner. Losing to Illinois is pretty weak, but, maybe that loss will inspire us against Michigan.

haven't gone to an OSU game since ND played here in what... '95? i went yesterday - it was my first game as an alcoholic, thank you - and that's why we lost. i shoulda told everybody to put money on Illinoioux.

i love watching the football crowd walk home all dejected, it's a very satisfying feeling.

These teams historicaly don't travel out of the South to play other top tier teams and they typically play their bowl games at what amounts to home games.

Look at the numbers too, when they do travel their vaunted defenses rarely hold up. It's easy to be good at home.

Take a look at the Big Ten where up until they BCS they traveled to play a PAC-10 team in the Rose Bowl--which pretty much is a home game for the PAC-10. And now with the BCS games they have to go Floriday, Georgia, New Orleans or Arizona.

Kudos for the SEC for finally realizing that the rest of the country is on to them. And let's not beat up the Buckeyes for their schedule this year, I mean they did travel out west to play a mediocre Washington, they just finished a one and one with Texas and they have another coming up with USC.

I'm not saying they don't have good teams, athletes, cheerleaders, I'm just saying they get a free ride in the press and for that I hate them, dearly.

And spare me the Louisville/Kentucky rivalry talk and Florida St./Alabama too Bama is the best team of the four which is quite pathetic.
