That's kinda what I mean. Emily asked me on the way home from work last night who I honestly thought was going to win, and I had to say LSU. They were the better football team last night, and it sucks :-p

That's exactly what I was saying this morning. I mean, those first two drives were awesome, and they turned into pouty bitches with all those Personal Fouls (were there, what, 5? 6?). We were truly outmatched. I hate it when the critics are right.

LSU is obviously a good team, and losing to them isn't such a big deal, but what an ugly loss. We played terribly. Reading the espn write up of the game makes it sound like an awesome team beat a terrible team, but that wasn't the case. The teams were actually pretty evenly matched. I wish their best game had beaten our best game, but it didn't happen. Instead, we had ridiculous, stupid penalties, turnovers, a perfect pass dropped in the endzone, and we were surprised by a few trick plays. You wouldn't know it by reading the news, but this game wasn't like the Florida blowout last year. If luck had run a little differently (or if our QB hadn't so frequently panicked under pressure), this game could have gone the other way. Sure, LSU deserved to win last night, but don't believe the hype. OSU brought it's B game at best and they still hung around until well into the fourth quarter.

Can we now dispense with the "Tressel is a genius" talk while we're at it.

He's proven to be mediocre in big games unless it's against Notre Dame or Michigan. Yes, I give him credit for the Miami win.

I'm not saying fire him or anything, but sheesh he's not a genius.

You know, really, I fucking just wish we would have been #12 this year and not even gone to a bowl game. It would have made all of our lives much easier. The critics wouldn't have had to call us over-rated all year. The haters wouldn't have had to hate.
