With a decent yet, not outrageously priced wine list, preferably?

Edit: Upscale, but casual...

Mezzo in the new downtown gahanna development has gotten a few good words, but I haven't tried it.

Depends on your definition of "new" but Marcella's Restaurant is good, locations at both the Short North and Polaris. Short North has been open for a bit, Polaris is still relatively new.

One more suggestion that might be a little too upscale. It's about a year old too.

http://www.rosendales.com

Rosendales was named best new restaurant by Columbus Monthly a couple months ago.

Marcellis isn't great food, but the atmosphere is great. I love the open windows on High St. The wine is pretty good for the buck and the lasagna I had when I was there was definitely worth the money. Oh, wait, I had a gift card. Never mind.

The Dispatch put out a list of its

"The primary criterion: quality of the food. Value, the surroundings and the level of service are also taken into consideration -- as are other factors, such as the willingness to take reservations, noise level, menu variety and attention to details (quality of the bread, olive oil and butter, for example)."

The "Top 10" restaurants represent the best of the best. The second 10 -- called "The Next Tier" -- are also deserving of mention. Both lists are presented alphabetically.

Top 10
Bar of Modern Art
Dragonfly Neo-V Cuisine
Handke's Cuisine
Kihachi Japanese Restaurant
L'Antibes
M
The Refectory
Rigsby's Kitchen
Rosendales
The Worthington Inn

The second 10
Barcelona
Barnum & Tibbetts Prime Kitchen & Wine Bar
Doc Henderson's Restaurant
Tucci's Wood-Fired Bistro
Latitude 41
Lindey's
Scali Ristorante
Spagio
Thom's on Grandview
Z Cucina di Spirito

Doc Henderson's is good too but all the way in Marysville.

I've always enjoyed Tucci's in Dublin, nice to see them on the list.

The Dispatch article btw has a little blurb about each place and the addresses.
