O.K., current Columbus-ites. I need a little help. As a former Columbus resident, I've been nominated to organize an upcoming bachelorette party in C-bus for about 20 thirty-something (and a few older) women.

Nobody attending is from Columbus -- it was chosen for it's central location (for those driving from Kentucky, Dayton, Toledo & Cleveland).

Bride-to-be was thinking about "a comedy club or something," followed by bar-hopping. She wants these bars to be hip & fun, but does NOT want to be surrounded by a bunch of young 20-somethings in a dance club. We're not talking a private party at Burgundy Room, just some fun places that are more geared toward the out-of-college crowd, but that won't be offended by our big, loud group.

Any ideas?

I can't think of two many bars that are 'hop-able' that aren't gonna have some of the 20-something barhopping crowd. If you want quantity over quality, then you should hit the arena district. 10 or more bars, all within walking distance. all but one or two really suck.

I dunno if you want to mingle with the natives or have a spot to yourselves, but there are a couple of reasonable private rooms you could consider besides Burgundy Room. Like Barleys basement is kinda old and cool and stoney.
