i think it's super weak to complain about clicking your finger in a thread talking about raising money for a girl who will never walk again.

i think in general it helps to keep track of how many people are actually looking at the information, and from where

plus its a revenue source for a lot of websites -- the more traffic to the actual site, the more ad-loads, and therefore higher potential money, so by clicking the link instead of just reading it here, you are actually helping out the site that has the source information in the first place
