Has anyone had issues with Matador getting orders sent out in a timely manner? I placed an order on May 16th for 2 LPs and a 7" and still nothing. One was Shearwater's "Rook", which didn't come out until June 3rd, so I thought maybe they were waiting so they could combine shipping -- but nothing. They charged my card on the 22nd.

I've emailed -- no response. Called -- they keep forwarding me to a voicemail that says 'this mailbox is full and can't accept new messages'. I thought I read on donewaiting somewhere about a few other people placing orders around the same time (it was the day they released that limited Jay Reatard 7", which is one of the others I ordered) ... anyone else experiencing this?

I've never had any problems with Matador shipping...got my TNV LP in a timely manner back in January. Did they send you a receipt e-mail? 'Cause I did get one of those. If you forward that to them w/ the transaction #, you might get a quicker response.

Yeah, I forwarded them my confirmation receipt with order number when I emailed. I did finally hear back from them, and their response was "It shipped on May 19th -- you didn't get it?". (Which I'm fairly certain isn't true, as I don't know too many places that ship your order 3 days before they charge your card.) At any rate, mistakes happen, no biggie, so long as they actually get it sent out this time!

weird, I have always had the best luck with Matador, things got shipped and received typically 3 days after I bought them.

So, just my luck, eh?

melikecheese - it was an entry on your blog that prompted me to place the order, too. (So, all your fault!) C'est la vie, and so it goes. Hopefully they'll get it straightened out. I just picked up a stack of stuff to listen to here in town, so I've got music to keep my ears busy in the meantime.

I am good friends with the person in charge of all the shipping at Matador. I will give him a slap on the wrists.

Can you talk to your shipping friend and get me a copy of the new Reatard 7". I spent 5 hours refreshing the page then forgot for 5 hours and it was released and sold out...waaa waaaaaaa

The new Reatard will be going out to record stores too. I don't know if Columbus stores will be getting them?
